Exploring Sydney

My Mate Malcolm and I thought we would do something silly,  like get out of a warm bed at 3am and get ready to make our way into the city.  I arrived just before 4am at Malcolm's for the drive into the city.  Our chances of a good morning were already slim with a weather forecast predicting rain.

Circular Quay was deserted, the lift up to Cahill Expressway was shutdown for the night , so we had to find another way up.  What a strange sight,  just a handful of cars in the time we were there. Opera House in total darkness. The Northshore looked like it had a total blackout. Only two desperate photographers and a homeless person with a mobile were witness to this eerie sight!

After spending an hour or so photographing, and the rain slightly annoying!  We decided it was time for breakfast and plan our next move. Next stop was the former Glebe Tram Shed, now a mecca for enjoying a meal and coffee.

The last time I visited the Tram Shed, there were four old trams and a bus inside. Plenty of discarded rubbish and old TV sets laying around. The walls were decorated in graffiti, some by very talented artists, and then the senseless tagging and vulgar profanities by the immature. There was also the Occult room with Pentagram on floor and sacrificed rat. The large lounge chair drapped in a red satin sheet. The place was frequented by photographers & models, Urbex Explorers and the curious.

The old goods line now used for the light rail.

Last stop of the day before heading home. Quick drive through Olympic Park where found this row of trees. Summer foliage with Autumn colours laying on the ground. And home again before 10am.
