Having found myself being locked away from interaction with photography due to COVID 19. Today I found myself being woken by the alarm at 4.30am. My plan was to drive down to Wollongong Breakwater Lighthouse to capture a sunrise.
Due to the current COVID-19 virus, and a recent family matter. Our planed holiday to Bali was deferred, then canceled. So to keep the holiday time period, within 24 hours, a trip to Cairns was organised.
A overnight stay in the city at Pier One Walsh Bay for a company Christmas Party, plus a chance at maybe capturing a awesome sunrise with blood red sky from the smoke in the air from the bushfires.
Four days of no sounds manmade,but the gentle rumble of waves rolling onto the shoreline. We had a beautiful stay in the Headkeeper's cottage at Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse.
